The Power of Power Cycling your Equipment.

If things aren't working as expected, a good thing to always try on any electronic equipment is a basic power cycle. Whether you restart your computer, unplug then plugin a piece of equipment, or turn off your power button then turn it back on - you are attempting to get your equipment to reset itself.

To reset your Vistabeam internet connection try the following steps:

  1. Locate your Power Over Ethernet (POE) box. This box will be small and rectangular. The wire from outside your house plugs into it.
  2. Check to make sure the light is on. If the light is not on, check the black power cord to make sure it has a good connection and is plugged into a power outlet.
  3. Reset your radio by unplugging the small round, black power plug from the POE box. The light should now be off.
  4. Wait 10 seconds then put the power plug back in.
  5. The light on the POE should come back on.
  6. Check your computer for internet.
  7. If you have a router you may also need to reset it by unplugging the power, waiting 10 seconds then plugging it back in.
  8. If none of these steps resolve your issue please call Vistabeam's technical support.
