VoIP is simply the transmission of voice over the Internet. VoIP provides a significant cost advantage over traditional telephone service. In most cases, you can port your existing telephone number to your VoIP service if desired.
Basic Phone Features
Use your phone, speakerphone, or headset just as you always have to make, answer, or end a call. IMPORTANT: Always dial the full 10-digit number for all calls including local and US long-distance. Calls placed by using the 1 in front of the area code (11-digit dialing) or only 7 digits are not guaranteed to properly connect.
Directory Assistance and International Calling
411 and Directory Assistance calls cost $1.50 for each call placed. International rates vary daily from place to place. Please call Vistabeam for the latest estimated rates. To place an international call through our network dial 011 + Country Code + Number. Reminder: Calls placed to Hawaii and Alaska could be subject to long distance charges as they are not considered part of our unlimited calling area.
Online Account Management
Your online control panel is located at: http://voip.callbeam.com:8000/user/ Use this control panel to check your voicemail and change settings. To login use your 10-digit VoIP number as your username and the last 4 digits of your VoIP number as your password. (You will be able to change your password here, online.)
Listening To Voicemail
If you have a voicemail message, you'll hear a stutter tone when you pick up your Vistabeam phone. To access the message, dial *97 and an automated voice will prompt for your password. The last four digits of your VoIP number is your initial password. You can also listen to voicemail over your PC via Vistabeam's online account management.
